Frequently Asked Questions

CLASSROOM CAPACITY
For the safety of our children and volunteers, we have a limited capacity in each classroom, so we ask you to please RSVP your children to secure your spots. You don't need to RSVP yourself, just your children. The RSVP sign-up for Kids Ministry opens as early as Monday morning for that Sunday. The rooms that fill up the fastest are the Preschool/Kindergarten room and the Toddler room.

Nursery (infants 6 months - 18 months): 6 [1 adult lead and 1 helper]
Toddlers (walking): 10 [1 adult lead and 1 helper]
Preschool (potty-trained) & Kindergarten: 16 [1 adult lead and 1 helper]
1st - 3rd Grade: 16 [1 adult lead and 1 helper]
4th & 5th Grade: 10 [1 adult lead and 1 helper]

If a classroom is full and has reached its capacity, OR you weren’t able to RSVP ahead of time:
  • Come to the table in the Kids hallway, and the CheckIN person there will assist you. Please do not bypass this person and go to a classroom to check availability.
  • If you didn’t RSVP ahead of time, let the CheckIN person know, and they will check the list to see if there is room. If there is space, they will have you go and check-in on a computer to print out your badges.
  • If a classroom has reached capacity, let the CheckIN person know that you would like to put your child on the waiting list. They will take your information and give you a pager and a busy bag for your child. You will go to the service and we will page you by 11:05am if there is room for your child.
  • If you receive a page [the pager will light up and vibrate], come back to the Kids area, and we will get a badge printed, and you can drop off your child into their room.

Forfeit your spot:
If you aren’t able to make it to church please email Cullen@mountainlife.org and we can give your child’s spot to someone else. If you have RSVP'd ahead of time and do not show up by 11:05am, then you will forfeit your spot, and it will be given to a child on the waiting list.

MASKS
Masks will be required for all volunteers and children over 2 years old (we will have masks available if you don't have one).

BADGES
If you have RSVP'd for Sunday, your family's badges will be hung up on the Kids hallway board with your last name on the top parent badge in somewhat of alphabetical order. You can pick up your badges there, stick them onto your child, and drop them off in their room. Please remember to keep your parent badge so that it will make picking up your child go smoothly. If you lose your parent badge, come and find a volunteer, and we will need to look up your info in our database and check your ID. We do this for the safety of your child to make sure the correct person is picking up.

Go!Bags

We at MLKids are dedicated to and feel strongly about advancing the Kingdom of God by making disciples who are changing worlds for Jesus. We are providing family GO!Bags with a months’ worth of content for your family to assist you in discipling your children. We have GO!Bags for Preschool & Kindergarten, and Elementary. They are filled with weekly folders, the directions you need to guide your children through the Bible lessons, and the items to activities for the week. These GO!Bags are designed for you to pick up a lesson and do it whenever it fits your family. Whether you are attending onsite or online, they are for you and your family.

If you haven't received a bag, but would like one, email Cullen@mountainlife.org and include what ages you need it for.

Park City Mops

MOPS (mothers of pre-schoolers) is back (virtually)! It's a little different for now, but we can still connect, grow, laugh and share in motherhood.

Mountain Life Kids exists to partner with parents as we raise up the Next Generation of fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Your kids will discover a safe, fun environment where they’ll experience the love of Jesus as they learn God’s Word.

our five key values

Safety

First and foremost, we strive to provide a safe and secure environment for your kids. All Kids Team volunteers must complete an application and undergo a background check. We take your children’s safety very seriously. All team members are identified by Mountain Life Kids ID badges while they serve. Please look for someone wearing a Mountain Life Kids ID badge if you ever need help or have questions.

Partnering with Parents

Investing in the Next Generation is a team effort. Although we love teaching your kids about God, we know that one hour in Kids Ministry per week isn’t enough to teach them everything they need to know about God and the saving grace of Jesus. We aim to provide you with the tools, resources and encouragement you need to teach your kids how to live a life of faith in Jesus. Join the Mountain Life Kids Facebook community to receive updates on each week’s lesson, family discussion tools, and events that happen throughout the year.

Prayer

As a team, we spend a lot of time praying...for you, your kids, wisdom, each other, etc. We strive to place prayer as a high priority.

Parents Connecting With God

We know how important it is for parents to have some uninterrupted time connecting with God. It is an honor and privilege to provide you with an opportunity to do just that. The entire family benefits.

Service Opportunities

Serving together is a great way to build relationships with other believers. It also fulfills our calling to serve one another in love and fills a need within the church. Kids Ministry abounds with opportunities to serve. We’d love to have you on our awesome team!
