Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison… Hebrews 13:3
Mountain Life Church sponsors a Jail Ministry for men and women inmates incarcerated at the Summit County Jail. Each Sunday, the Mountain Life team leads Bible studies at the Jail and the experience for the individuals serving in the ministry has been overwhelming.
“God is truly in the room with us and we have witnessed how the Holy Spirit can soften hearts over time. Many of the inmates we spend time with have an incredible hunger to have a relationship with Jesus and learn more about what it means to be a Christian and live a Christian life.” (quote from a jail ministry volunteer)
We are looking for volunteers to help facilitate the Sunday bible studies at the County Jail. The women meet from 1-2 pm, and the men meet from 7 – 8:30 pm each Sunday. You can come as often as you like – weekly, monthly, whatever fits your schedule. We’d love to have you on the team. We need believers that are willing to attend, facilitate discussion of bible topics, and share their life experiences. You can make a difference in turning someone’s life around. If you are interested, please contact Tim Hodge (908-477-3355), or Jessica Hodge (435-655-1962 ).
