Adventure Mountain is our program for children ages 5 – 5th grade. In Adventure Mountain, we use the 252 Basics curriculum for Kindergarten – 5th grade. 252 Basics is built around three Basic Truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52.
I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Each Basic Truth is amplified by a weekly key concept and systematically taught over a three-year track. The curriculum includes 150 Bible stories and is based on a Core Virtue and Memory Verse as the framework for each month. Here are a few terms you will want to know to reinforce what your child has learned at church at home:
Monthly Virtue: The core virtue is discussed each week.
Monthly Memory Verse: The verse that your child will memorize throughout the month.
Weekly Story: The Bible story application for the week.
Weekly Bottom Line: The main idea and key concept that we want your child to know by the end of each month.
Virtue: Responsibility—showing you can be trusted with what’s expected of you.
Memory Verse: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” Luke 16:10, NIV
