Mountain Life MOPS
MOPS of Park City is in its fifth year at Mountain Life Church. MOPS is a place where mothers of preschoolers can come and experience:
- Authentic Community
- Personal Growth
- Practical Parenting Help
- Spiritual Hope
At MOPS, you’ll be welcomed, accepted and inspired to reach your full potential and recognize your influence with your family and the world! You will join over 100,000 moms worldwide focused on spreading the word that ‘Better Moms Make a Better World’. Our desire is that you don’t do mothering alone and that you feel accepted, appreciated, encouraged, inspired and develop a supportive community. During your time at MOPS we hope you fill your cup rather than fill everyone else’s cup. Our childcare program, MOPPETS, will give you the opportunity to relax while your kids are being well taken of in a loving environment.
What is MOPS?
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. It is a community of moms with different lifestyles and different backgrounds, but all with similar needs and a shared desire to be the best mothers they can be! MOPS is dedicated to the common goal of “Better Moms make a Better World”. MOPS is dedicated to the message that “Mothering Matters” and that moms of young children need encouragement during these critical and formative years. MOPS International was founded in 1973 and has grown to over 100,000 moms worldwide. It is a non-denominational Christian organization and all mothers of preschoolers are welcome regardless of religious beliefs. More information can be found at the MOPS international website:
www.mops.org. MOPS gives mothers of preschoolers the chance to meet with other moms. During your morning you will have time to socialize, eat, hear a talk that relates to life as MOPS, and meet in small groups to discuss the subject matter further. We also have a chance to do a creative activity at every meeting.
Is MOPS for me?
If you are a mom who is pregnant or has a child who is newborn through kindergarten… if you are a mom who enjoys making new friends… If you are a mom who wants to share the joys and challenges of motherhood… If you are a mom who is looking for opportunities for personal growth through trusted resources… If you are a mom who needs help or likes to help other moms… … it’s time to join MOPS!
What is Moppets?
During MOPS meetings your preschool-age children will be cared for in a special program of their own called Moppets. Children are divided into age-appropriate groups, where they enjoy stories, songs, snacks, crafts, and games. Nursery is available for children under two.
When does MOPS meet?
Meeting day/time: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month during the school year from 9:00 – 11:15 a.m. We meet in the Mountain Life Church foyer.
What is the cost for MOPS?
Membership fees are $50.00 per semester. We do not want anyone excluded due to financial reasons, therefore scholarships are available for those who would be burdened by the cost. Your fee provides a membership to MOPS International, which entitles you to a one-year subscription to MOMSense Magazine, weekly Mom-emails, and other great benefits. In addition, the fee pays for local chapter administrative costs, childcare in a preschool-like setting, created projects and crafts and refreshments for both you and your children.
